Volkswagen improves the new 2017 e-Golf

Volkswagen has improved e-Golf in many ways for the 2017 model year, but the most important improvements being made would be the range and power. Of course, with these new improvements comes a new increasing start price, which is $1500 higher, compared to the previous 2016 model.

The automakers announced that the 2017 Volkswagen e-Golf starts at $31,315 before tax credits. Un upgrade battery comes with the car, which provides 125 miles of range, up from 83 miles. A new electric motor adds 19 hp and 15 lb-ft of torque over the previous model, bringing output to 134 hp and 214 lb-ft. The base SE model comes with more standard equipment, which also includes LED taillights, cruise control, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and an 8-inch glass-covered touchscreen display.

This feature is an option on the base trim. Priced from $34,615, the model features standard DC Fast Charging, leather seats, park distance control, and Maneuver Braking. The 2017 Volkswagen e-Golf is just the first in line of the Golf family to be reconstructed and improved. Other new Golfs will arrive later this year as 2018 models.
