Facelifted VW Golf Rendered

Not long after it was revealed that the facelifted Volkswagen Golf will incorporate gesture controls, RM Design has rendered how the exterior of the refreshed hatchback could look.

Because no prototypes have been spied testing, it is impossible to say for certain how the new Golf will look. Nevertheless, RM Design has imagined it with a refreshed front bumper incorporating new air intake surrounds as well as refreshed headlights. Additionally, new side skirts have been included alongside subtly changed taillights and a new rear bumper.

As for the gesture controls the facelifted Volkswagen Golf will incorporate, they are expected to be taken directly from the Golf R Touch Concept introduced late last year. It is suggested that the gesture tech to be used in the new Golf will include 5 in-car sensors as well as three digital displays. One of those will be a 13-inch display in the dashboard while an 8-inch screen will sit in place of the instrument cluster. A third display will then installed into the dash. As a result, the cabin of the new Golf will be virtually buttonless.

Some of the features available through gesture control will include opening and closing the sunroof while the seat adjusting features of the Golf R Touch Concept could also be carried over.

All congratulations for RM Design for this rendered!
